One Hilarious book!

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and other concerns)

By: Mindy Kaling

Wow! This girl is absolutely hilarious!!! I am in the middle of reading her book and honestly find myself laughing out loud. I get some pretty ridiculous looks when I am reading this book in public because if I am not laughing out loud by myself like a lunatic, I am sitting there smiling at the book like I have just found a big chest of gold! I probably look nuts, but if you read this book you will totally see why.

This girl is so talented! and it is so inspiring to know that she knew exactly what she wanted to be when she was a kid and then just went for it!
Such an inspiring and hilarious story! I would recommend to everyone who likes to laugh a lot!!!

Perks of Being A Wallflower

This book is so amazing! When I was a sophomore in high-school, a friend of mine told me that one day this book was going to be huge. I always meant to read the book but I eventually forgot about it. Sure enough he was right about the book. Now, I did not only read this book because it is not famous and a major motion picture. I do however have a rule, I must read the book before watching the movie NO MATTER WHAT! So I remembered the name of this book that I was told about a while ago and I am so happy to have been reminded! Just simply amazing and not what I expected at all!

Taking you inside a world of misfit kids coming together to make each other feel apart of something. Written as a series of letters from the main character Charlie, this book takes you through his perspective in high-school.

This book is such a unique story.

There is just one thing I always find myself asking. WHO WAS HE WRITING THE LETTERS TO?

I would love to know the answer to that question!! I know that is not the point to the story and that is not even a significant part to it but I just can not let it go!

Now, this book has been turned into a major motion picture! I have not yet seen this movie, but I have heard only good things about it! On rotten tomatoes the audience rated the movie 95% and the over all ratings by critics included was a 86%. I say overall that is pretty dang good!

Pitch Perfect!

OH MY GOSH! I loved it! this was such a funny and awesome movie! The singing and everything was so cool! I love how they can make all the music themselves! And I could not stop laughing! Such a good fun movie! It was like a mix between Glee and Bridesmaids!

I enjoyed the singing so much that I bought the soundtrack in the car ride home from the movie!

My favorite girl character was Amy! She was the funniest one of them all! You may recognize her from bridesmaids:

In this movie she is even funnier!

My favorite guy character was, of course, Jesse. He is the main guy character and his personality is just amazing! Plus talk about amazing singing that makes him even sexier than he already is!

Also, another hilarious character was someone you may recognize from Workaholics!
This guy was cracking me up as well! And surprisingly can sing too!

All in all this movie was 4.5 out of 5!

Parenthood

So, barely having anytime with life outside of school... I have been able to start a new show while working on homework. I figured you all would rather hear about a show rather than my statics and physics reading I have been reading lately.

This show is family at its worst and greatest! From drama to family events, there is always something pulling me back into this show and making it hard for me to focus on keeping my grades up. So, lately I have been coming straight home to finish my homework, and then have been staying up until 1 a.m. watching this show.
This show is so touching. So many things that I can relate too, along with others that I could never even imagine. This is a totally amazing show that will show you all of the ups and downs of relationships between family.
WATCH IT!!

In Honor by: jessi kirby

Honor lost her parents when she was just a little girl, but her brother Finn was always there for her to make everything better. Then he enlisted in the military, and was shipped over seas. No one understood why he did that when he had his dream life ahead of him. Then he is killed while on a mission, and Honor doesn't know how to handle it. She is lost, and believes if she just acts like it didn't happen, she can pretend he is still overseas and alive. Then she receives a letter from her brother that he had written before everything messed up. This letter inspires a road trip of possibilities. When she is about to hit the road, Rusty, Finn's old best friend now turned drunk, decides to go along with her.

This book was such an emotional roller coaster! From anger, to tears, to nothing but giggles this book takes you all over the map of losing a loved one.

I guess I was expecting something different for this novel. When I heard that Rusty was going along for the ride, I assumed I was in for a total romance novel of how her brothers death brought them together. Not that there wasn't little hints here and there at it but it wasn't a googly eyed kissin romance where its only about that and not the actual story.

Rusty and Honor were both amazing characters. They were the kind you love one moment then hate the next then just kinda like them until they do something to make you love them or hate them again. But can i just say, Rusty sounds like a totally sexy cowboy! A few issues here and there but all in all a good guy!

All in all, I have to say it was a really good book that I found hard to put down!

I give this book 4 out of 5 thumbs up

vacation reading :) 2 book reviews!

While on vacation in beautiful Destin, Florida, i had plenty of time to enjoy some reading on the beach.
(My view the past week!)

First, i finished My Life Next Door by: Huntley Fitzpatrick, which i have already done a review on Click Here For Review On That

After that I read two more amazing books.

The Summer My Life Began by: Shannon Greenland

This book was so good! You have romance which i love, but i appreciated this novel not being 100% devoted to only that part of the story! With family secrets and life aspirations being discovered, there were plenty of things to surprise you in this novel. Can i just say that there were a couple of things i did not see coming! This book showed family at its best and worst. But this book showed how it is important to follow your dreams and find yourself, and that the ones who love you will stand behind you. That is the best part of books, is when they can surprise you like this one did! Totally worth reading!

I give this book 4 thumbs up!!

Then there is Moonglass by:Jessi Kirby
This one just stole my heart. There were so many times i just wanted to be able to jump into this book and tell Anna that everything would be okay! I could not even imagine growing up with the life that she had. But the fact that she is strong enough to deal with it is so inspiring. This story is such a touching one that i have to recommend it to everyone! This is another one that shows how important family and friendship really are, and how much they can help you through everything and love you through it all too.

I give this book 5 thumbs up!

The Amazing Spider-man!

May I just start off by saying this movie was AMAZING! Not only did it do a better job at following the comics but the chemistry of the characters and just how it was put together were great!
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were perfect for their roles! They worked great together! He's hot she's gorgeous and they both are amazing actors so it was very entertaining to watch!
The special effects were outstanding! I saw it in 3D and there were a few moments I couldn't help but jump.

I recommend everyone go see this! I am not saying it is better than the old ones because it is actually pretty hard to compare them. They are just so different from each other and I loved both movies. But I give this version

From fairytales to wars

I've tried to change up the books i've been reading lately. I started that with Water Wars by Cameron Stracher.
In a world where water is hard to find and the world is one big desert, war has broken out. For Kai, it is no problem finding water though, which makes everyone want him for themselves. When Kai is kidnapped, his friends try whatever they can to get him back, but at what lengths will they go to get to him. From water pirates, to extreme environmentalists, this book has a lot going on. It was such an interesting book! The characters chemistry was amazing and there were quite a few surprises as well. I love when you don't know whats coming next!

Rating:

Then you have your classic child hood fairy tale, Peter Pan... but this is a side of the story you haven't heard. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson, is a new perspective on that childhood story you heard. I am currently still reading this book and honestly I cannot put it down! I won this book from a contest on the Epic Reads Blog.

Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair. . . .
Fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily doesn't believe in love stories or happy endings. Then she meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan in the forbidden woods of Neverland and immediately falls under his spell.

Peter is unlike anyone she's ever known. Impetuous and brave, he both scares and enthralls her. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland's inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. Soon, she is risking everything—her family, her future—to be with him. When she is faced with marriage to a terrible man in her own tribe, she must choose between the life she's always known and running away to an uncertain future with Peter.

With enemies threatening to tear them apart, the lovers seem doomed. But it's the arrival of Wendy Darling, an English girl who's everything Tiger Lily is not, that leads Tiger Lily to discover that the most dangerous enemies can live inside even the most loyal and loving heart.

Rating soon to come when I am done with the book!
