Book Review: Broken At Love by Lyla Payne

Broken At Love by: Lyla Payne
Genre: New Adult

Goodreads Description:
When a knee injury ends twenty-year-old Quinn Rowland’s pro tennis career, he’s not only dumped by his hot Russian girlfriend but ordered to attend college by his disinterested billionaire father. A rich kid who’s not used to being disappointed by life, Quinn and his sociopathic half-brother Sebastian create a frat house game intended to treat girls how they see them—as simple game pieces to be manipulated for their pleasure.

College sophomore Emilie Swanson knows Quinn’s reputation—after all, he did send one of her sorority sisters into therapy earlier in the semester—but the game and his charm bring them closer together and soon she starts to believe there’s more to Quinn than people think.

But what if the more is something darker than a game of toying with emotions and breaking hearts?

Quinn and Emilie might be falling for each other, but there are secrets he’s not ready to tell—and lifestyle changes he’s reluctant to make. She willingly stepped on the court, but if Emilie finds out she started out as nothing as a pawn in Quinn and Sebastian’s twisted game, she might never forgive him.

To his surprise, Quinn finds that he might finally care about someone more than he cares about himself…even if that means letting Emilie walk away for good.

Wow! That is the best word to describe this book! And sexy! This book was so amazing. From the characters you get totally hooked on, to the amazing story that keeps you locked in, I honestly have no bad things to say about it! I was so caught up in this story that I was super sad when I got to the end because I just wanted it to keep going!!!
The main guy, Quinn, was absolutely fantastic! He is one of those guys you hate but at the same time you can't help but love him! Now, at first I really didn't like him at all because he was a horrible guy. But, honestly, the more I kept reading the more I hopelessly fell in love with this character! And oh man was he hot! I also love Emilie! She is so strong and such an amazing character! I just absolutely loved that she never gave up even when most people would have! The chemistry between these characters were FANTASTIC!! And then there is Sebastian, a guy that everyone hates! He was just creepy and mean! I honestly got the goosebumps in the parts he was in.

I recommend this book to absolutely everyone! It was amazing! Definitely a must read! It is now out, you should go buy it!

Waiting On Wednesday!

Waiting on Wednesday is an awesome meme hosted by Breaking The Spine

Mila 2.0
Coming March 12! (Almost here!!)
Goodreads Description: Mila 2.0 is the first book in an electrifying sci-fi thriller series about a teenage girl who discovers that she is an experiment in artificial intelligence.

Mila was never meant to learn the truth about her identity. She was a girl living with her mother in a small Minnesota town. She was supposed to forget her past —that she was built in a secret computer science lab and programmed to do things real people would never do.

Now she has no choice but to run—from the dangerous operatives who want her terminated because she knows too much and from a mysterious group that wants to capture her alive and unlock her advanced technology. However, what Mila’s becoming is beyond anyone’s imagination, including her own, and it just might save her life.

Mila 2.0 is Debra Driza’s bold debut and the first book in a Bourne Identity–style trilogy that combines heart-pounding action with a riveting exploration of what it really means to be human. Fans of I Am Number Four will love Mila for who she is and what she longs to be—and a cliffhanger ending will leave them breathlessly awaiting the sequel.
You can go here to watch the trailer and see why I think it looks so freaking amazing!! http://shelf-life.ew.com/2013/03/06/mila-2-0-trailer-debra-driza-exclusive/

This sounds like it will be one heck of an adventure! I am dying to get my hands on a copy of this book! So stoked!

Genre: Young Adult

it's almost

time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.
WOW!!! Everyone must read this series ASAP! I absolutely loved this book! If you thought Shatter Me was good... OH YOU JUST WAIT!
I had heard a lot about Chapter 62 in this book and was afraid I would be extremely upset with it but I wasn't... When I was reading it I was thinking, Oh you better kiss him! Do it right now! YES! Aw you two are perfect together! BUT! Then I remembered Adam and snapped out of that phase then thinking, Oh Tahereh Mafi, you are very tricky! You almost had me there! I was so caught up for a second, but I will NOT give up on Adam!
AND! can I just say that Juliette gets super Kick Ass! WOW! She is so super awesome in this book!!!! holy moly omg! I mean ya it sucks she can't touch people, but the rest of her power??? WHO WOULDN'T WANT THAT?
and ya thats about all I can say without giving too much away.

Questions by Madlha
1. Why did you start blogging?
I began blogging because I read all the time and wanted to tell people about the awesome books I was reading! Unfortunately, none of my family or friends really read tons so they go sick of hearing about my books. Therefor, the internet was the best place to go! Plus the blogging community totally rocks! Everyone is so amazing!

2. Sunrise or sunset?
I am a total sunrise girl! Mostly because I am an early riser for sure!

3. Do you judge a book by its cover?
Yes.. sadly its true, unless I have heard someone liked it. But come on, would you pick up a book if it looked horrible and you havent heard anyone say something about it?

4. What is the most exciting thing you have ever done?
The most exciting thing for me was probably swimming with dolphins in Mexico. Ive never really done something like crazy exciting like skydiving or anything. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground, I am no thrill seeker lol. I would rather read about it in a book :)

5. If you had to give up any of your senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch) which would it be and why?
I would totally give up hearing. I love music and all but I love reading way to much to give up eyesight, I love food way to much to give up taste and smell(ever hold you nose and try to eat? You taste nothing!), and what human could go without touch? Unless I was Juliette from Shatter Me and I was that Kick Butt! Then I would maybe give up touch.

6. Which in your opinion is your favorite Book to Movie transition?
My favorite book to movie transition is so girly!! It is totally The Notebook! I just love that time period and lets be honest Ryan Gosling is not hard to drool over! but can I just say how excited I am about the Divergent movie coming out next year??? I bet it will be my new favorite!

7. Most embarrassing story you are willing to share online?
I really dont get embarrassed by a lot of things. I fal in front of people all the time, I say stupid stuff quite a bit and also I am a nerd but I am totally okay with all of it! I really cant think of any major embarrassing stories, but I also could have easily blocked them from my mind because they were so bad lol

8. Your favorite book as a child?
I was a weird child when it came to reading. I loved to read books but I only liked reading half of them and then I would start a new one! My mom says she only saw me finish 1 book and it was a Goosebumps book! I didnt really start reading books all the way through till high school when I picked up Crank  by Ellen Hopkins.

9. Which book are you highly anticipating to read?
The 3rd Divergent for sure!!!! Ahhh I must know what happens next!!! Also, Requiem the 3rd book in the Delirium series! It comes in my mail on Tuesday! Eeeek!

10. Who is your favorite character from a book/movie and why?
My favorite character would have to be either Juliette from Shatter Me because she is so kick butt!!! or it would be Elliot from For Darkness Shows The Stars by Diana Peterfreud because Elliot is so strong in this book! She isn't a female who needs help, she takes care of others!

11. Have a book boyfriend/girlfriend? Who is it and why?
Of course!! I am in love with Alex from Delirium for sure! but also, I am kind of sneaking around on the side with Adam from Shatter Me. Shhh don't tell Alex!
